We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Production Head for our Jewelry Manufacturing Unit. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the endtoend production process of gold diamond and/or silver jewelry ensuring timely delivery quality control cost efficiency and team management. This role demands a strong technical understanding of jewelry manufacturing and leadership in managing both skilled labor and machinery.
Requirements
- Lead and manage the entire production process from casting to finishing and QC.
- Plan daily/weekly/monthly production schedules in line with order deadlines.
- Ensure optimal utilization of manpower materials and machinery.
- Maintain highquality standards at every stage of production.
- Monitor and control wastage of raw materials like gold silver diamonds and gemstones.
- Coordinate with design sourcing and merchandising teams for smooth workflow.
- Manage and mentor a team of karigar artisans and production staff.
- Implement process improvements to reduce lead times and increase efficiency.
- Maintain inventory of raw materials tools and consumables required for production.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards safety regulations and ethical labor practices.
- Track and report key KPIs: production output rejection rates turnaround time etc.
- Oversee maintenance of equipment and ensure minimal downtime.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Engineering / Jewelry Design / Manufacturing or relevant field.
- 35 years of experience in jewelry manufacturing with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Indepth knowledge of gold/silver/diamond jewelry manufacturing processes.
- Strong technical understanding of casting polishing stone setting filing finishing and plating.
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM and jewelry production management software (e.g. ERP).
- Excellent leadership communication and problemsolving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage production timelines effectively.
Preferred Skills:
- Exposure to both handcrafted and machinemade jewelry production.
- Experience with ISO Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Knowledge of hallmarking and other compliance regulations.
- Fluent in Hindi Gujarati and English; knowledge of local languages of Karigar will be Plus.
