The School District of Clayton is seeking a highly qualifiedElementary Teacher for theschool year. The District has a rigorous curriculum that requires creative instructional strategies to build a strong foundation of learning. Balanced Literacy is a component of our elementary curriculum as well as an inquiry approach to Science and Social Studies. We seek teachers that have solid math content knowledge are able to communicate and teach for conceptual understanding of mathematics and use effective pedagogy.
Our District values the ability to work with diverse students and colleagues; success in creating inclusive classrooms; and experience with a variety of teaching methods and curricular perspectives.
The Successful Candidate:
Education: Bachelors Degree required. Masters Degree preferred. Successful candidates must be proficient in writing and mathematics. An assessment will be given to ensure proficiency.
Certification: Missouri teacher certification with required endorsements for subject and level assigned.
Experience:Preferred.
Compensation: Highlycompetitive salary.
