POSITION: LocksmithREPORTS TO: Coordinator of Buildings and GroundsACCOUNTABILITY OBJECTIVE:This position is accountable for installation and repair of door closers exit devices mortice lock cylindrical lockset and electrical ACCOUNTABILITIES:This position is accountable for the following:1. Responsible for installing repairing and maintaining door closers experience with L.C.N Sargent Norton Corbin Russwin and others.2. Responsible for installing repairing and maintaining exit device(s) experience with Von Duprin Sargent Corbin Russwin and others.3. Responsible for installing repairing and maintaining cylindrical locksets experience with Marks Corbin Russwin Schlage Sargent and others.4. Responsible for installing repairing and maintaining electric striker body prewire experience with HFS Folger Adams and others.5. Responsible for keying and master keying all school buildings experience with keying system Corbin Russwin Schlage Sargent and others.6. Responsible for installing maintaining and repairing for Mortise deadbolts cylinder locks classroom locks padlocks file cabinet locks and student locks.7. Responsibility for the maintenance and repair of Hinge push/pull plates kick plates door stop along with other door hardware.8. Responsible for installing repairing and maintaining panic hardware on all district building doors. This includes but not limited to External Vertical Rod Internal VerticalRod and Mortise Vertical Rod and Rim type panic devices.9. Responsibility for assisting in loading assembling etc. of necessary equipment.10. Must keep accurate records of keying systems of each building in the district. Be able to solve in a satisfactory way ay keying problems that may arise in the required to rekey several locks of a certain building to satisfy the security needs of the building.11. Maintain records of work performed including labor and materials used; receive work orders and determine priorities using the districts computerized maintenance management software (CMMS).12. Complete and close out CMMS work orders appropriately.13. Performance of other jobrelated duties as REQUIREMENTS1. Must possess a High School Diploma or G.E.D. Certificate2. Must possess a Valid Massachusetts State drivers license.3. Minimum five 5 years of fulltime experience as a locksmith4. Must pass a CORI/SORI Background check.5. Must have a working knowledge of all state and local codes and legislation as well as be proficient in reading and understanding building blueprints.6. Must be available to respond to emergency calls after CONDITIONS:1. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.2. Required to work at heights or in narrow spaces to service equipment;3. Required to stand for prolonged periods;4. Must be able to climb ladders and carry all necessary tools.5. Periodically required to lift and carry heavy supplies or equipment;6. Must be able to work alone.7. Occasionally required to work outdoors in inclement weather.8. Must be available to respond to emergency calls after hours.9. Requires travel between work sites within the city.10. Works in all weather conditions at heights and in enclosed spaces with limited access.11.
