Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and creative Corrugated Display Structural Designer to join our
dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing structural displays made
from corrugated materials with a focus on retail environments pointofpurchase (POP)
displays and product packaging. The role involves collaborating with crossfunctional teams
including sales and production to create functional visually appealing and costeffective
display solutions that enhance the customer experience and drive sales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design & Development:
- Develop and design corrugated displays and packaging solutions for retail andpromotional purposes.
- Create structural designs that are aesthetically appealing functional and capableof withstanding handling and transportation.
- Utilize CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD ArtiosCAD SolidWorks) to createdetailed drawings and prototypes for client approval.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with the sales team to ensure designs align with branding andcampaign objectives.
- Coordinate with the production team to ensure designs are manufacturable andmeet cost machine and material constraints.
- Communicate design concepts and technical specifications to clients.
- Prototyping & Testing:
- Create prototypes of designs and perform testing to evaluate strength durabilityand visual appeal.
- Revise designs based on feedback from clients or testing results to optimize
functionality and efficiency.
- Material Selection & Cost Optimization:
- Research and recommend appropriate materials (corrugated board types coatingsinks) for each display balancing performance and cost.
- Optimize designs for material efficiency and costeffectiveness withoutsacrificing quality or functionality.
- Project Management
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously ensuring all deadlines are met and client expectations are exceeded.
- Prepare and present design proposals including budget and timeline estimates.
- Quality Control:
- Ensure all designs meet industry standards compliance regulations and safetyguidelines.
- Work with manufacturing and quality control teams to ensure the final productmatches design specifications.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelors degree in Industrial Design Packaging Design MechanicalEngineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience:
- Minimum 510 years of experience in structural design particularly in corrugateddisplays retail packaging or a related field.
- Experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD ArtiosCAD SolidWorks orsimilar tools.
- Strong understanding of corrugated materials diecutting and print productionprocesses.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Strong problemsolving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to work well in a collaborative teamoriented environment.
- Strong understanding of retail display trends and consumer behavior.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite
- Additional Skills (Preferred):
- Experience with 3D rendering or visualization software. Rino orSketchUp a plus
- Knowledge of sustainability practices in packaging and display design.
