- POSITION SUMMARY
- Trinity Health is committed to providing topnotch emergency medical services and education. The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Program Coordinator provides operational and planning oversight for the Trinity Health EMT Program. They work closely with EMT program staff training center staff and other Trinity Health departments to schedule training areas and student clinical opportunities ensuring a quality educational experience for all EMT program students. The EMT Program Coordinator will oversee and instruct didactic and skills portions of the program. They will provide and ensure a safe training environment for all students and training staff. The EMT Program Coordinator will also lead and/or assist in the instruction of American Heart Association (AHA) National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT) and other regional emergency medical services (EMS) courses/training as scheduled.
This role calls for a dedicated team member who will support the ongoing delivery of highquality training programs. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional customer service strong organizational capabilities effective communication and superior time management skills. The nature of the position requires flexibility in occasionally working outside of normal business hours and a strong ability to communicate well with staff and learners of various disciplines.

- MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Licenses and Certifications Required
- Minimum of the following required:
- Nationally Registered Paramedic
- North Dakota Licensed Paramedic within 180 days of hire.
- Nationally Registered Paramedic
- AHA Instructor certification for Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 180 days.
- AHA Instructor certification for Advanced Stroke Life Support (ASLS) with 1 year or as coordinated with the Trinity Health Stroke Coordinator.
- National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT) Instructor certifications for Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) and Advanced Medical Life Support (AMLS) within 1 year (as schedule allows).
- North Dakota Instructor Coordinator certification within 180 days.
- Minimum of the following required:
- Educational Requirements
- Advanced education/training in emergency medical services or related field preferable.
- Advanced education/training in emergency medical services or related field preferable.
- Experience Requirements
- Two 2 years experience in related healthcare field.
- Critical care experience preferred.
- Knowledgeable about methods of instruction testing and evaluation of students.
- Expertise in adult learning preferred.
- Two 2 years experience in related healthcare field.
- Special Skills or Training Requirements
- Excellent organizational skills detail oriented and possesses critical thinking skills.
- Able to set priorities and function as a part of a team as well as independently.
- Commitment to working in a team environment and maintaining confidentiality as needed.
- Excellent customer service and effective verbal nonverbal and written communication skills required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact professionalism and diplomacy.
- Possess and maintain computer skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other software as needed.
- Knowledge of current trends developments and concepts in Emergency
- Knowledge in medical simulation technology preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills detail oriented and possesses critical thinking skills.
