Job Description

The Transport Manager EMEA is responsible for overseeing and executing transportation management within the EMEA region ensuring alignment with HQ leadership global transportation strategies and operational excellence across all modes of transport (B2B B2C and production networks). The role focuses on optimizing transport operations maintaining compliance and ensuring costeffective and reliable logistics solutions

Key Responsibilities:

Transportation & Performance Management:

  • Supervise daily of 3PL and GDC Wattens logistics for inbound/outbound transport.
  • Ensure compliance with agreed SLAs Incoterms and trade regulations for all deliveries.
  • Maintain structured carrier performance evaluations and drive corrective actions.
  • Track freight costs and propose operational optimizations within the approved HQ budget framework.

Carrier & 3PL Coordination:

  • Coordinate with 3PL partners to optimize service levels and costs.
  • Drive carrier performance tracking evaluation and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in tender management and RFQs under HQ leaderships approval.

Compliance & Documentation:

  • Ensure transport invoicing accuracy customs documentation integrity and trade compliance.
  • Maintain high data quality across carrier interfaces SAP records and financial reporting.
  • Implement harmonized transportrelated processes to improve operational consistency.

CrossFunctional Collaboration:

  • Align transport operations with Procurement Supply Planning eCommerce Commercial and Finance teams.
  • Facilitate data consolidation and reporting for HQ leadership oversight.

  • Logistics Manager RDC EMEA (primary operational alignment).
  • HQ leadership teams (monthly reporting on transport performance compliance).
  • Procurement & Finance (cost tracking tender oversight).
  • External Stakeholders:
  • 3PL providers & carriers (operational coordination performance tracking).
  • Customs & Compliance Teams (ensuring trade regulation adherence).

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Strong understanding of multimodal transport operations (B2B B2C production logistics) across the EMEA region.
  • Solid working knowledge of transport management platforms.
  • Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large datasets and reporting tools.
  • Strong project management capabilitiesability to lead or support transport optimization and costreduction initiatives across functions and geographies.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with experience in working with 3PLs and crossfunctional teams.
  • Resultsoriented mindset with a focus on process improvement compliance and operational excellence.
  • Knowledge of Incoterms customs regulations and trade compliance across the EMEA region is an advantage.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in other European languages is an advantage.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Logistics Supply Chain Management Business Administration or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in transportation management within an international or regional logistics environment.
  • Proven experience in managing 3PL relationships tender processes and transport performance evaluations.
  • Track record of delivering projects or driving transportrelated improvements in cost compliance or service levels.
  • Experience working in matrix organizations and collaborating with global and regional stakeholders.
