A growing CPA firm based in Halifax is currently seeking a Senior Manager to join their team on a fulltime permanent basis.
This role offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of engagements with small to midsized ownermanaged businesses across multiple industries. Key Responsibilities for the Job:
- Yearend file preparation
- Corporate and personal tax return preparation
- Client bookkeeping review and HST filing
- Client relationship management and business development
- Management of internal staff
- General business and accounting advisory
- Other duties as required
Experience & Attributes for Success:
- CPA designation or near completion required
- Experience with ownermanaged business clients ideally within a small firm environment
- 5 8 years experience in public accounting
- Proficiency in Caseware Profile and/or MS Office Suite are considered a definite asset
- Dedicated work ethic with a clientfocused approach and eagerness to grow and learn
- Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines in dynamic environment
- Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail

The standard work week (although flexible) would be MondayFriday 8:304:30 with the exception of February April 8:305:00 and a 4 day work week in July & August (Fridays off). The office also closes between Christmas and New Years (paid time off) and offers free parking!
