Middle School ELA Tutor Job Description
Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Middle School ELA Tutor to provide academic support and guidance to students in English Language Arts. The tutor will help students improve their reading comprehension writing skills and overall literacy through engaging and interactive lessons tailored to individual needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide oneonone and small group tutoring sessions in English Language Arts.
Assist students in developing reading comprehension vocabulary grammar and writing skills.
Create engaging lesson plans and practice materials based on student needs.
Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
Encourage critical thinking and effective communication skills.
Collaborate with teachers and parents to support student learning.
Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions and student progress.
Foster a positive and supportive learning environment.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree (or currently pursuing) in English Education or a related field.
Previous experience tutoring or teaching middle school students preferred.
Strong knowledge of middle school ELA curriculum and standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to adapt teaching methods to different learning styles.
Patience enthusiasm and a passion for education.
Working Conditions:
Flexible hours based on student needs.
May include inperson or virtual tutoring sessions.
