Veterinary Surgeon (FTC) Hampden VetsAylesbury Buckinghamshire.
Hampden Veterinary Hospital is searching for a motivated and enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon ideally for small animal consulting only on a 15month fixed term contract for maternity cover.
The Role:
Fulltime hours 40 hrs/week over 4 days 4x10 hrs days)although a 5 day week of 3540hrs would be considered.
You will be consulting at any of our branches or the main hospital (all in and around Aylesbury) on a rota basis. Therefore were looking for someone confident in sole charge consulting but confidence in surgery is not a prerequisite. You will have full support of the main hospital if cases need further workup that is not available at branch.
We are happy to accommodate any particular interests you may have such as exotics ophthalmology etc and reserve some dedicated consulting time for you to pursue these. This is a role that would suit veterinary surgeons with varying levels of experience and can be tailored according to that experience and your specific interests.

The hub of our practice is our purposebuilt RCVS Accredited Hospital in the centre of Aylesbury which is fitted out with a full range of diagnostic and surgical equipment allowing our team to work to the highest standards. The 3 branches in the town and surrounding villages funnel in a client base that is well insured and motivated to work up cases.
Hospitalised patients are managed to a high level with the support of our committed and talented team of RVNs. The quality of care doesnt stop at the end of the workday as our dedicated team of Night Vets and RVNs provide round the clock emergency and intensive care for our patients. We are also fortunate to be situated close to some of the best referral centres in the country.
Our Team:
We have a fabulous friendly team of 13 Day Vets 3 Night Vets 18 Day Nurses 3 Night Nurses 3 Kennel Assistants 2 Lab Techs plus our wonderful support colleagues all dedicated to ensuring we deliver outstanding care.

It is also a great base for exploring the scenic Chiltern Hills where you can hike bike or picnic among the rolling countryside.
There are good travel links with London under 50 miles away by road and under an hour by train.
