Job Description

Job Summary
A Catholic Classroom Aide supports the classroom teacher in creating a Christcentered academically excellent learning environment that fosters the spiritual intellectual social and emotional growth of each student. The instructional aid will assist in implementing lesson plans providing individualized support to students and maintaining a classroom atmosphere aligned with the mission and vision of the school as outlined by the National Standards and Benchmarks for Effective Catholic Elementary and Secondary Schools (NSBECS).
Job Responsibilities
Faith Formation and Integration:
- Model and promote Catholic values in all interactions.
- Support integration of faithbased principles in classroom activities.
- Help create a respectful inclusive environment reflecting Catholic teachings.
- Assist in liturgies prayer services and religious celebrations.
- Collaborate with the teacher to implement lesson plans and activities.
- Provide oneonone or smallgroup support for individual learning needs.
- Assist in preparing instructional materials and maintaining organization.
- Support the use of technology to enhance learning.
Instructional Support:
- Collaborate with the teacher to implement lesson plans.
- Provide oneonone or smallgroup support for individual learning needs.
- Assist in preparing materials and maintaining classroom organization.
- Support technology integration in learning experiences.
Student Development:
- Foster positive relationships to support academic social and emotional growth.
- Monitor behavior and reinforce expectations for a Christcentered environment.
- Assist with assessing progress and providing feedback to the teacher.
Classroom Management:
- Help maintain a safe clean and welcoming classroom.
- Support the teacher with routines and transitions.
- Address minor conflicts and escalate issues as needed.
Community Engagement:
- Build positive relationships with students families and colleagues.
- Participate in events activities and service projects promoting Catholic values.
- Serve as a role model of faith service and respect.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelors degree in education or a related field preferred.
- Practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church.
- Familiarity with Catholic teachings and a commitment to faithbased education.
- Experience working with children in an educational or similar setting preferred.
- Strong communication organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Basic proficiency in using educational technology and tools.
