Key Work Output and Accountabilities:
- The Clinical Specialist will be responsible for managing and coordinating high quality therapy service delivery and resources within the unit
- To lead therapists and ensure safe high quality therapy service delivery in the rehabilitation unit.
- Plan coordinate and facilitate the rehabilitation service delivery with the relevant rehabilitation team members to achieve clinical and functional outcomes for inpatients in the unit.
- Ensure competence of staff determine and drive criteria for effective professional socialization create an environment conducive to learning and provide feedback to relevant stakeholders.
Employment Equity Target : African Male/Female Candidates only
- A relevant health professional qualification NQF 7
- A post graduate qualification in Management or relevant Masters Degree would be advantageous
- Registration with the Health Professional Council as a therapist.
- In good standing with HPCSA and all applicable health care legislations
- Compulsory BLS certification
- Ensure clinical expertise within therapy 35 years of clinical experience in an acute hospital)
- Experience in managing a unit would be an advantage.
