Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION: Four Rivers Charter Public School is seeking outstanding candidates to teach science in grades 11 and 12. Affiliated with EL Education (Expeditionary Learning) Four Rivers is college preparatory and has a clear mission of educating young people for lives of learning and service. This is an opportunity to join a talented and dedicated faculty to continue the development of an exemplary charter public school. Located in Greenfield MA Four Rivers enrolls 220 students in grades 712 and is in its 22nd year of operation. In our dynamic collaborative school teachers work closely with their colleagues developing curriculum and helping shape the culture of the school in accordance with the schools mission and EL Education practices of challenging projectbased learning. Four Rivers is an equal opportunity employer and strives to be an antiracist school. SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONSSuccessful experience teaching Chemistry and Physics to high school students with a minimum of three years experience preferred. Strong background in science as demonstrated through academic preparation and/or professional experience. Experience integrating science with other subjects is a significant plus. Massachusetts licensure or highly qualified status for MA Charter Public Schools in high school chemistry and physics implementing culturally sustaining teaching practices.
