Salary commensurate with experience: $33.65 to $36.05 (hourly) / NonExempt
Full Time: Monday to Friday: 8:30 am to 5:00 pm

SHIELDSmission is to develop deliver and evaluate culturally sensitive comprehensive service models that empower and advocate for highrisk families in South Los Angeles.
The Therapist provides crisis intervention intake assessment individual family and group therapy to adults children and families with a history of mental illness. This includes coordinating support services to assist clients with independent living. The Therapist is responsible for monitoring and maintaining documentation of client services within clients charts ensuring compliance with agency policies and procedures Department of Mental Health contract and other related agencies standards and guidelines.
CMH 021program provides a full range of mental health services by SHIELDS clinicians specifically trained to work with this population. Our clinicians are trained in ChildParent Psychotherapy ParentChild Interaction Therapy and participate in ongoing research. SHIELDS integrates services into other programs including Healthy Start Welcome Baby Home Visitation and Substance Abuse Treatment programs through our Child Development Center.

- $2000 Recruitment Bonus: Therecruitmentbonusof $2000 will be paid in two lump sums: the first sum of $1000 will be paid on the next regularly scheduled pay date after successful completion of 90 days of employment. The second sum of $1000 will be paid after successful completion of 12 months of employment.

Qualifications
Education/Experience:
- Masters DegreeRegistered or licensed with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as an ACSW AMFT APCC LMFT LCSW or LPCC.
- Two years of experience working with individuals with a history of mental illness in a social service/mental health environment.
- A valid California drivers license is required for this position as driving is an essential function of the role and is required for field work client crisis response and emergencies. Avalid car insurance and registration is required.
- DMH documentation and EXYM experience a plus.
- COVID19 vaccination required. May request medical or religious exemption if applicable.
