The University of Kansas Health System at Great Bend is seeking a General Orthopedic Surgeontojoina highly successfulpractice with a draw area that coverscountiescentral and western Kansas extending to the Colorado border.

Currently the practice includes one fulltime general orthopedic surgeon a parttime orthopedic hand surgeon a parttime orthopedic sports medicine surgeon a fulltime Podiatrist providing comprehensive foot/ankle surgery and a Family Medicine/Sports Medicine nonsurgical physician. Additionally the practice offers Total Joint Services (Anterior/Posterior THA TKA TSA reverse TSA Total Elbow Total Ankle) Full Foot/Ankle Service Hand/Upper Extremity Service and Sports Medicine Service.

Four fulltime Physician Assistants cover clinic dutiesassistin all surgeries conduct daily inpatient rounds including weekends and provide firstcall support for answering services and emergency coverage yearround. The clinic currently sees 16000 visits per year with 1200 outpatient surgeries performed annually.

This position at the University of Kansas Health System will contribute to delivering the highest quality of care and fulfilling teaching research and academic responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will be Board Eligible/Board Certified as well asfellowshiptrained in Orthopedic Surgery and licensed in Kansas additionally we are currently accepting candidatesrequiringJ1 Visa sponsorship.
