This position under the system Health Outcomes & Inclusion (HOI) office within the HR Division is responsible for coordinating regional inclusion efforts that align with system strategy. This position is responsible for developing and implementing a full range of initiatives that support ongoing leadership efforts to foster regional understanding adoption and adherence to inclusive policies and practices. This position engages in continuous systematic and datadriven recruitment and retention activities that increase Ochsners support of underrepresented populations including the ongoing development of employee resource groups inclusivityfocused employee councils mentorship initiatives and advancement opportunities. Additionally this position helps build and facilitate educational opportunities to provide leaders and frontline staff with inclusivity best practices.

Education

Required Bachelors degree in social work psychology sociology or relevant field

Preferred Masters degree in social work psychology sociology or relevant field

Work Experience

Required Five 5 years of professional experience preferably within the field of inclusion and/or change management within a healthcare environment

Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Possesses excellent leadership skills and ability to influence cultural change and outcomes in a complex environment.

  • Exhibits skills of a seasoned innovator in fostering inclusivity and effective changemanagement with experience in human resources and preferably clinical management.

  • Possesses a strong knowledge of quality and process improvement strategies along with effective program and data management skills that result in measurable cultural change and adherence to best practices.

  • Promotes inclusivity and demonstrates strong cultural awareness to support engagement and understanding across varied perspectives and experiences.

  • Fosters teamwork and collaboration across a wide range of stakeholders and environments.

  • Exhibits effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly consistently and professionally.

  • Demonstrates proficiency in the Microsoft Suite including Excel PowerPoint and Word as well as the computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval.

  • Possesses strong projectmanagement skills with the ability to work well under pressure while managing multiple priorities.

  • This position does require travel between regions and facilities.

Job Duties

  • Advises on and develops regional policies procedures and strategies related to health outcomes and inclusion that align with the system.

  • Collaborates with the HOI team and with internal partners including but not limited to Patient Experience Talent Acquisition Employee Relations and Talent Development to incorporate and advise on best practices.

  • Develops and maintains Regional Inclusion Councils regional Ochsner Resource Groups (ORGs) and related workgroups as needed.

  • Ensures full development and implementation of all actionplanning activities associated with ongoing compliance and adherence to all applicable regulatory requirements and system initiatives; manages the regional inclusion calendar of events including the collection analysis and review of all inclusionbased activities within the region.

  • Reviews and manages regional inclusion data including the submission of annual reports monthly operating reports (MORs) and other requests for data as needed; stays knowledgeable about trending metrics and makes datainformed decisions.

  • Creates a community of inclusion and support; advises regional executive leadership teams department leaders managers and supervisors; catalogs efforts and activities that promote inclusion.

  • Oversees the continuous development and facilitation of educational opportunities that enhance inclusivity best practices and increases cultural competencies to help make Ochsner the best place to work and receive care.

  • Performs other related duties as required.

Because the incumbent works within a healthcare setting there may be occupational risk for exposure to hazardous medications or hazardous waste within the environment through receipt transport storage preparation dispensing administration cleaning and/or disposal of contaminated waste. The risk level of exposure may increase depending on the essential job duties of the role.
