Were Hiring for a Service Operations Supervisor!

The Service Operations Supervisor (Wachs Water) (Hydrants & Valves) is responsible for safely and effectively managing the delivery of most aspects of project scope and planning field operations. In this role the individual will also manage multiple crews specialized vehicles/equipment inventory on the trucks building material the use of traffic control safety devices and special processes. The Supervisor will spend 65 of their time in the field.

This is an onsite role operating out of the Memphis Dewatering branch. This is a Monday Friday position. The crews will be working Monday Thursday 10hour days so for the Supervisor their hours would be estimated. Travel is deemed local with excepts for meetings and training


Monday Thursday: 6:305:30 Friday: Admin day and Field crew makeup day when needed. At this time the Supervisor will oversee 3 crews

Staff Management:

  • Hire train and manage field service technicians

  • Develop and maintain relationships with Business Partners for additional labor support

  • Create work schedules and assign tasks to team members

  • Provide guidance and support to team members

  • Address and resolve any employee issues or conflicts

Team Management:

  • Understand team dynamics and effective management practices. Supervisors should be adept at balancing individual tasks with overseeing team performance.

  • Conflict Resolution: Ability to address conflicts within the team professionally and constructively.

  • Motivational Skills: Inspire and motivate team members to achieve their best.

Safety and Compliance: Proper PPE and Safety Training

  • Ensure field service team follows all safety regulations and guidelines and provide inthefield support to provide additional crew safety

  • Develop and implement safety training for field service technicians

  • Stay uptodate on industry regulations and make necessary adjustments to comply

Customer Service:

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through daily project communication and addressing any concerns or complaints

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers

  • Collaborate with project management and sales team to identify and pursue new service opportunities


Inventory Management:

  • Monitor and maintain service parts and equipment

  • Coordinate with procurement team to order necessary supplies

  • Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and minimize waste


Budgeting and Cost Control:

  • Manage department and project budget

  • Identify and implement cost saving measures

  • Monitor expenses and ensure they are within budget guidelines


Quality Control:

  • Establish and maintain quality assurance standards for department

  • Conduct regular inthefield inspections and audits to ensure compliance

  • Implement corrective actions as needed to improve service quality


Reporting and Communication:

  • Prepare and present regular reports on project performance

  • Communicate regularly with upper management on service operations and any issues or concerns

  • Collaborate with other departments to improve overall company performance.

Adaptability:

  • Supervisors often encounter changing priorities and unexpected challenges. Being adaptable and flexible is crucial.

  • Decision Making: Make informed decisions based on organizational goals and guidelines.

DAY IN THE LIFE: In this role the working environment is based in an office with the potential for outdoor field support weather extremities use of PPE exposures to high heat and the physical demands may include but not limited to regularly sitting standing lifting up to 75 lbs. In addition this role may require 1520 of time in the field

Job postings will include a wide salary range with each roles pay falling within that range. The starting salary is based on factors such as skills experience location and market conditions.
