Hartford Hospital is one of the largest and most respected teaching hospitals in New England. The Hospital is a Level 1 Trauma Center which provides cuttingedge treatment to its patients. This is made possible by being home to the largest robotic surgery center in the Northeast and the Center for Education Simulation and Innovation (CESI) one of the mostadvanced medical simulation training centers in the world. When hospitals cannot provide the advanced care expertise and new treatment options their patients require they turn to Hartford Hospital. Hartford Hospital performed the first successful heart transplant in the state and pioneered the use of robotics in surgery. We maintain the only Level 1 Trauma Center in the region and operate the states only air ambulance system LIFE STAR.
Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner Role Scope
Hartford HealthCares Hartford Hospital is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join a growing team within the Department of Medicine. In partnership with the leadership team the new Advanced Practitioner will be responsible for the advancement of best practice standards continuous quality improvement and system efficiencies within the Department of Medicine. Responsible for effectively identifying and translating successful quality and safety processes standards and mandates into sustainable daily practice and operations. This position requires integration of clinical expertise and quality standards across the care continuum to reduce preventable harm to patients and improve efficiency. This role creates an environment that promotes professional practice and strives for excellence in all aspects of clinical interdisciplinary care within the Divisions of the Department of Medicine.
Shift:Full Time 40 hours) Monday through Friday 8am5pm (occasional clinical coverage off shift may be requested and compensated with shift differentials).
