Senior Generator Technician

We are recruiting fora leading controls company specializing in the design and production of generator enclosures for missioncritical applications including data centers and industrial facilities. This company isseeking an experienced Generator Technician to join their production team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting the assembly installation and testing of generator enclosures. This individual must have handson experience with highhorsepower generators control systems and a background in data centers or similar highdemand environments.

Position Offers:

• $2632/hour depending on experience overtime opportunities. If your target pay is higher we still encourage you to applywe could request adjustments based on experience and market conditions

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the production assembly and installation of generator enclosures and associated components.

• Troubleshoot and test highhorsepower generators ensuring systems meet performance specifications and quality standards.

• Integrate and test control systems within generator enclosures including PLCs switchgear and monitoring equipment.

• Collaborate with production engineering and quality teams to resolve technical issues and improve processes.

• Perform predelivery inspections and functional testing to ensure systems are ready for deployment.

• Support field installation and commissioning when required particularly at customer sites such as data centers.

• Provide input on production improvements system layouts and best practices for highhorsepower generator integration.

• Maintain accurate records of tests inspections and productionrelated tasks.

• Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 15 years of experience working with highhorsepower generators 500 kW) diesel or natural gas.

• Experience with generator controls including PLCs switchgear and automated systems.

• Previous experience supporting data center infrastructure or similar missioncritical environments is highly preferred.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings schematics and wiring diagrams.

• Strong troubleshooting problemsolving and technical skills.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in production or field environments as required.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices for generator systems.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
