Job Title: Power Platform / Power Apps Developer
Location: Richmond VA onsite
Job Type: Fulltime / LongTerm Contract
Introduction:
We are seeking a Power Platform Developer to join our growing team in Richmond VA. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Microsoft Power Apps Power Automate and the broader Power Platform suite. This role will involve collaborating with crossfunctional teams to design develop and deploy custom applications workflows and automation solutions to streamline business processes and enhance operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Power Apps Development:
Design develop and deploy custom applications using Canvas Apps and ModelDriven Apps within Power Apps.
Create userfriendly responsive and scalable solutions with minimal or nocode development.
Leverage connectors to integrate Power Apps with various data sources including SharePoint SQL and external APIs.
Automation with Power Automate:
Build and maintain workflows and automations using Power Automate to optimize internal business processes.
Automate repetitive tasks notifications approvals and data management operations to enhance team productivity.
Power BI Integration:
Work with Power BI to integrate realtime dashboards and analytics into Power Apps solutions for end users.
Provide data insights by connecting Power Apps with Power BI and implementing data visualizations within applications.
Collaboration with Stakeholders:
Partner with business users and stakeholders to gather requirements understand business challenges and translate them into actionable application features and workflows.
Provide technical expertise and guidance to other team members business analysts and nontechnical users on how to best leverage Power Platform tools.
Maintenance & Support:
Ensure the ongoing performance and stability of deployed Power Apps applications and Power Automate flows.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to apps workflows or data connections.
Update and improve applications as business needs evolve.
Best Practices & Governance:
Implement best practices for security governance and compliance in Power Platform solutions.
Follow standards and guidelines for app performance versioning and testing.
Qualifications:
Experience:
2 years of experience working with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps Power Automate Power BI Power Virtual Agents).
Proven experience developing Canvas Apps and ModelDriven Apps.
Experience with Power Automate to create workflows and automation for business processes.
Familiarity with integrating Power Apps with data sources like SharePoint SQL Server Dataverse and thirdparty APIs.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Power Apps Studio for building Canvas and Modeldriven apps.
Strong knowledge of Power Automate for creating complex workflows and automations.
Experience with Power BI for creating data visualizations and dashboards.
Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and Dataverse (formerly known as the Common Data Service).
Familiarity with JavaScript or TypeScript (preferred for customizations and advanced development).
Strong understanding of SharePoint and Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
Soft Skills:
Strong problemsolving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in an Agile environment.
Detailoriented with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to work with nontechnical stakeholders to understand business needs and provide solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
Microsoft certifications in Power Platform (e.g. PL100 PL400 PL600 or related technologies.
Experience with Dynamics 365 or other enterprise systems.
Familiarity with AppSource or creating custom connectors for Power Apps.
