What Youll Do:
As a Senior Backend Engineer at Public you will become part of a 35person development team located in Carlsbergbyen Copenhagen. In collaboration with the rest of the Copenhagen office you will develop Publics cuttingedge trading platform enabling users to buy and trade stocks and options seamlessly. Public is looking for a candidate with an enthusiastic entrepreneurial spirit; someone who is willing to learn quickly take responsibility and drive initiatives forward. Public operates in a unique and transformative market which creates an exciting innovative and challenging technical environment. Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Design develop and maintain robust backend systems and APIs using
Java Spring boot. - Collaborate with frontend developers product managers and other
stakeholders to implement new features and enhancements. - Optimize performance and scalability of our trading platform to ensure a
seamless user experience. - Participate in code reviews testing and debugging to maintain code
quality and reliability. - Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continually
What Were Looking For:
- BA or MA in Computer Science Software Engineering or another relevant field; experience in a similar role is most important.
- Strong proficiency in Java Spring boot and handson experience with
backend development. - Experience with Java or .NET is also relevant and can be considered.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation and problem
solving. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work
effectively in a fastpaced agile environment. - Experience with the financial markets or trading platforms is a plus but
not required. - Fluent in English.
