Job Overview
Reporting to the Director Engineering the Project Engineer is responsible for capital equipment projects from order receipt until shipment and final documentation. The Project Engineer will review project requirements develop design plans for Design Engineering created and review submittal and manufacturing documents to ensure ontime project completion.
Responsibilities
- Modify and create 3D CAD models and drawings
- Create and modify BillsofMaterials in CAD and MER/ERP
- Create and revise project documentation as required per the supplier document list (SDL)
- Work as a liaison between departments suppliers and the customer to address project design requirements
- Review projects proposals and customer specification to develop project plans and objectives
- Review product designs to ensure they meet project specifications and are incompliance with industry regulations
- Work with Design Engineering to ensure ontime completion of design work and that designs meet project specifications
- Oversee testing and address nonconforming material (NCM) issues
- Domestic and foreign travel to meet with customers and suppliers
Qualifications
- Professional experience w/ 3D CAD software SOLIDWORKS preferred creating models assemblies and drawings
- Advanced MS Office Suite
- Knowledge and experience in machine design preferably engineeredtoorder
- Skilled in time management prioritizing and managing changing priorities.
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Experience and Education:
- Bachelors Degree or higher is preferred
- 5 years of related experience
- EIT/PE preferred
Environmental Safety Requirements
- New Employee Safety Training is required by all newly hired employees including Safety Awareness
- All safety related training is provided and tracked by the EHS Manager
- Job specific training modules deemed necessary by employees Manager or Director will be required of all employees on an ongoing basis
Employees are required to wear Nikkiso provided PPE as/when needed. PPEs include safety shoes safety glasses face shields FR clothing cryogenic gloves cryogenic apron cut resistant gloves safety gloves hearing protection hard hats dust masks and face masks. Failure to comply with ACD safety requirements will result in disciplinary actions up to and including termination.
