Job Summary
McLean Hospital is a comprehensive psychiatric hospital committed to providing easy access to superior quality costeffective mental health services in the Boston area Massachusetts and beyond. Since 1811 McLean Hospital has been a world leader in the treatment of mental illness and chemical dependency research into the cause of mental illness and the training of generations of mental health care providers. McLeans multidisciplinary programs treat a broad range of psychiatric illnesses across the full continuum of care.Qualifications
Qualifications
1. Psychiatrist (MD DO) with board certification in his/her specialty or subspecialty. Maintains an active clinical practice. Active and current Massachusetts clinical license will be required of successful applicant.
2. Advanced training or degree in medical informatics or board certification/board eligible in clinical informatics is preferred but not required.
3. Three or more years of healthcare leadership experience preferred preferably involving the deployment and optimization of clinical systems.
4. Excellent knowledge of ambulatory clinical workflow
5. Demonstrated strong commitment to progress customer service and teamwork.

4. Resultsoriented: Focus on solutions for relevant concrete issues; Demonstrates pride in being able to demonstrate consistent reliability
5. Strategic: Able to quickly understand and discuss situations and challenges; and make decisions
6. Technically Proficient: Understanding or able to quickly learn technical systems and products
7. Direct and Open Communication: Concise articulate constructive and plain speaking as a communicator; able to communicate effectively orally and in writing
8. Ethical & Trustworthy: Widely trusted and keeps confidences
9. Respected: Able to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies. A style that both engenders respect from and demonstrates respect for other clinicians.
Working Conditions
Standard office environment with regular travel to different MGB sites.
Patient Care delivery areas as needed.
24x7 responsibilities requiring oncall and evening night weekend hours as needed
