Job Description

Join us as R&D Sensory & Consumer Science Intern at our international headquarters in Utrecht starting in September 2025! In this internship you will support the Sensory & Consumer Science Team and assist with designing sensory and/or consumer research studies using statistical techniques for data interpretation.

Your key activities will be:
Working on a personal project confirmed within the first month of placement based on your interest and current project work.
Supporting the setup and briefing of research studies.
Analysing sensory and/or consumer studies (using various statistical tools).
Reporting and presenting results to relevant teams.

Qualifications :

Are you bursting with fresh ideas and a hunger for learning We want you!

Heres what were looking for:
Academic Program: You are enrolled in a BSc or MSc program for the entirety of the internship preferably in Food Science or Technology with a background or understanding of Sensory and/or Consumer Science.
Skillset: Strong MS Office skills and fluent proficiency in English (spoken and written) are a must handson experience with food research activities is a plus!
Personal traits: You have a structured approach a driven and energetic personality excellent communication and people skills and the ability to work both in a team and independently.
Commitment: Youre ready to dedicate at least 5 months to this internship preferably from September 1st to the end of February 2026.
Availability: You can commit to 5 days per week including four days inoffice and one day remotely ensuring an ideal balance between collaboration and independence.

Your internship should be included in your study curriculum and directly contribute to your academic results.
Your educational institution is willing to sign a collaboration agreement with JDE Peets and when joining our Research departments also sign an NDA agreement for internships.
You are either an EU(EEA) student residing in the Netherlands during the internship or a NonEU(EEA) student enrolled and living in the Netherlands during the internship.
