The Unit Supervisor Quality is a frontline leader responsible for executing quality strategies supervising daily activities of the QA team and driving continuous improvement across the WEM Distribution CenterBoschs sole U.S. facility for Power Tools distribution. This position manages 1216 hourly associates across two shifts including 34 team leads with responsibility for quality oversight in both warehouse and postponement operations. This role ensures compliance with Bosch QMM standards ISO requirements safety expectations and key performance indicators while promoting a culture of accountability and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
Supervise coach and develop quality team members including conducting performance reviews providing feedback and supporting career growth.
Partner with HR and leadership for headcount planning budget control and staffing needs.
Ensure consistent policy enforcement and fair application of disciplinary and recognition programs.
Lead daily tier meetings deliver shift handovers and ensure alignment across shifts.
Quality & Safety Oversight
Monitor of inbound inprocess outbound and DSP quality inspections and audits.
Ensure all quality checks comply with Bosch standards ISO 9001 and safety protocols.
Drive root cause identification and resolution of quality issues; lead containment actions where necessary.
Conduct safety talks verify 5S standards and maintain compliance with safety KPIs.
Performance Metrics & Reporting
Maintain visibility and communication of quality performance metrics (e.g. DQ DSP VQ supplier PPM audit readiness).
Track and report productivity inspection throughput rework data and customer complaint trends.
Serve as point of contact for internal/external audits and Bosch counterparts globally.
Escalate nonconformances and recurring issues with clear documentation and recommendations.
Continuous Improvement
Lead kaizen events and implement lean tools to eliminate waste and reduce variability.
Support standard work 8D problemsolving and layered process audits.
Identify training gaps and implement corrective actions to build quality competencies across the team.
Ensure visual management and Gemba walk expectations are consistently met.
Compliance & Audit Readiness
Ensure strict adherence to ISO 9001 standards and Bosch QMM systematics.
Support audit preparation and corrective followup activities.
Ensure all documentation processes and work instructions are accurate and auditready.
CrossFunctional & Customer Alignment
Collaborate closely with Operations BPS Engineering and DSP to resolve quality and packaging issues in real time.
Align with supply chain customer service and other Bosch sites to ensure consistency and standardization.
Other Duties
Support miscellaneous tasks and sitewide initiatives as assigned by the Quality Manager.
Provide backup leadership coverage for other supervisors as needed.
Qualifications :
Associates degree required; Bachelors degree preferred (Engineering Technology Logistics or Quality).
3 years of experience in quality warehouse or manufacturing environments.
Prior supervisory experience in a highvolume fastpaced setting.
Strong understanding of ISO 9001 8D methodology and lean manufacturing principles.
Familiarity with Bosch QMM systems SAP and Microsoft Office tools.
ASQ certification (CQT CQIA or CQA) preferred.

Role supports a multishift operation; flexibility to rotate coverage as needed.
Minimal travel <10 may be required for training or crosssite alignment.

The U.S. base entry salary for this fulltime position starts at $90700. Compensation offered is dependent on the facts and circumstances of each opening.
