Serves as a clinical expert for wound ostomy and continence related issues to all clinical and administrative staff in their location. Provides oversight and management to wound ostomy and continence patients through digital and inhome consults. Provides wound ostomy and continence education to clinical staff and play an accountable role in supply management and utilization.Job Description:
EDUCATION
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing Required.
BSN Preferred
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE
RNRegistered Nurse of California Required
BLSBasic Life Support Healthcare Provider Required
WCCWound Care Certified Required
CWONCertified Wound Ostomy Nurse Preferred
EXPERIENCE
5 years of RN experience in an acute clinical setting with at least two 2 years of wound care experience Required.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Demonstrated clinical expertise in the area of wound care including a working knowledge of pharmacology medical terminology and aseptic technique.
Demonstrated general knowledge and competence with regard to nursing theories concepts and practices; medical terminology; anatomy; and physiology.
Working knowledge of the healthcare industry safety precaution policies best practices regarding patient care and privacy and changes in local/state/federal regulations.
Possess written and verbal communication skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences including nonmedical people.
Basic knowledge of computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Outlook) and Electronic Health Record.
Prioritize assignments and work within standardized policies procedures and scientific methods to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
Work independently as well as be part of the team including accomplishing multiple tasks in an environment with interruptions.
Identify evaluate and resolve standard problems by selecting appropriate solutions from established options.
Ensure the privacy of each patients Protected Health Information (PHI).
Build collaborative relationships with peers and other healthcare providers to achieve departmental and corporate objectives.

Pay Range is $91.45 to $120.70 / hourThe salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidates experience education skills licensure and certifications department equity training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
