Job Description

Windmill Village Hotel Golf Club & Spa is a parkland course situated on the A45 between Coventry and the NEC.

We are currently looking for an individual to fill the role of 1st Assistant greenkeeper.

Key Requirements:

5 years experience and minimum NVQ level 2 in sports turf management (or equivalent)

A good understanding of the game of golf

Practical green keeping skills

PA1 2 and 6 spraying certificates. PA2A would be of benefit but not necessary.

Trained and proficient in operating and maintaining heavy and light machinery

Duties will include:

Assisting the Deputy & Course Manager in ensuring the golf course is maintained to high standards in their absence

Supporting the Deputy & Course Manager in all aspects of course maintenance including but not exclusively mowing scarification aeration topdressing fertilising and chemical application.

Performing tasks with the minimum of supervision undertaking duties with due care and respect of Health and Safety procedures and company policies.

Assisting with the maintenance of equipment and machinery carry out minor repairs and routine maintenance as appropriate.

Undertaking other appropriate duties as required by the Course Manager

Salary will be 30k per annum based on 39hr week with weekends on a rota basis.

28 days annual leave

Staff meals are provided on a daily basis
