Company:
The Boeing CompanyBoeing Global Services is seeking anEntry Level Supply Chain Specialist to join theBoeing C17 Field Supply Chain team in Joint Base Charleston SC. This position will focus on supporting the BGS Supply person will be responsible for the daily activities of the onsite Boeing warehouse functions supporting the C17 program. Required to process repair induction documents for aircraft parts and equipment. They will also be responsible for data entry into automated systems to ensure parts availability. This position requires the ability to operate and maintain material handling equipment perform shipping and receiving operations hazardous material shipping traffic management operations export control and packaging and crating. Coordinate daily tasks with Lead to align priorities for smooth operation of workloads. Applicant will work according to established Boeing and Occupational Safety and Health Agency (OSHA) requirements for warehousing operations.
This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Joint Base Charleston SC.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance PostStart is required.
Position Responsibilities:
Be proficient in the operation of mechanized and manual materials handling equipment hand tools and other equipment related to materials storage control and transportation
Ability to observe count and maintain stock levels in order to match names codes numbers or sizes of items with lists on which these items are shown
Ability to recognize poor or unacceptable quality of parts prior to shipment
Coordinate with various departments to expedite and complete movement of material and parts to required locations
Assist in the movement of assets and components through the repair cycle
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Experience working both independently and in team environments.
Supply chain and inventory management experience.
Shipping and receiving experience.
Experience working in a manufacturing warehouse shipping or customer service environment.
Must be capable of lifting 30 pounds on a frequent basis.
Ability to travel 10 of the time.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):
Experience working with various material handling equipment such as forklifts pallet jacks and cranes.
Experience with managing C17 Repair of Repairable and C17 Spares.
Bachelors Degree
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. 4 years related work experience).
