For the following vacancy we are seeking confident enthusiastic flexible and motivated staff aged 16 or over. Experience isnt necessary but a SMILE is a must.

Roles & Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES
The overall responsibility of the cleaner is to ensure that everything in the building (internal and external)
is kept clean and tidy without exceptions.
CLEANING
CLEANING OF TOILETS
Cleaning toilets every AM ready for the day ahead
To clean all floors daily
Top up consumables such as toilet roll soap etc
Ensure mirrors are clean and smear free
Ensure washbasins and hand dryers are clean
Empty the bins
Clean the toilets cubicles walls and tiles regularly
Clean and wipe the baby changing table regularly
Clean air vents on a regular basis
Any other type cleaning or deep clean if required
CLEANING OF DISPLAYS
To clean all floors in the aquarium daily
To empty all bins throughout the aquarium
To clean any windows or glass doors
Ensure that all areas are cobweb free and dusted regularly
Ensure all fake foliage is clean and dust free
Ensure all air vents are cleaned weekly
Remove all rubbish from the building as needed
Any other type cleaning or deep clean if required

CLEANING OF ADMISSIONS SHOP AND CAFE
To clean all floors in the admissions and shop area daily
Clean all glass doors and windows every morning
To empty all bins
Any other type cleaning or deep clean if required
TO UNDERTAKE HOURLY TOILET CHECKS
Toilet roll and soap dispensers are topped up
Mirrors are clean and smear free
Washbasins and hand driers are clean
Floors are swept clean and tidy
Bins are emptied
Toilets and cubicles are cleaned
Any other type cleaning or deep clean if required
TO MAINTAIN HIGH STANDARDS OF CLEANLINESS THROUGHOUT THE BUILDING
Emptying all bins in all departments as needed throughout the day
Conducting regular floor checks
Ensuring that the areas are cobweb and dust free
Dusting all stair banisters and other areas requiring this
Ensuring air vents grill and Air Con filters are cleaned regularly
Removing all rubbish as required
Maintain a clean entrance floor by sweeping any sand and litter from the front doors cafe shop and
entrance area at regular intervals throughout the day
Any other cleaning required in this area
CLEANING OF EXTERIOR
Maintaining all signage to ensure they are clean and tidy at all times
To brush the outside windowsills clean of sand
To sweep around side areas of building as needed
To keep the front entrance face clean by washing signage regularly
Any other cleaning required in this area
CLEANING OF OFFICES
To hoover and dust all offices on a weekly basis or as needed
To empty all bins as needed
To clean all windows in offices regularly
Any other cleaning required in this area
CLEANING DUTIES
To ensure all day availability to attend to any cleaning issues that arise
To conduct regular checks of all the above areas to ensure high standards of cleanliness
To keep the cleaning storage areas clean organized and tidy at all times
To undertake any other cleaning jobs not listed on here which may not need doing every day.
All cleaning jobs whether needed daily weekly monthly must be done well and proactively and are not
just limited to public areas.
Cleaning jobs may need doing daily weekly monthly or at another interval and must be done so on a
regular basis.
