Job Description

The Connor lab is seeking an experienced Laboratory Technician. The ideal candidate will be a proactive organized and a helpful presence in a dynamic research laboratory at the NEIDL. Position responsibilities include laboratory organization and regular ordering experimental responsibilities which will include helping carry out ongoing experiments that include testing antiviral small molecules evaluating diagnostic platforms developing labonachip methods. Work will also involve testing on multiple viruses. Experiments will regularly involve rtPCR western blotting immunofluorescence microscopy an individual virus microscopy. Additionally regular tasks will include virus growth stock maintenance and cell culture. The laboratory carries out BSL3 work and experience or interest in BSL3 work is seen as a plus.

Required Skills

Bachelors degree and 13 years of experience.
