Job Description
THE POSITION

The Department of Human Services is seeking a temporary Laborer to provide maintenance and grounds services at Norristown State Hospital. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Laborer you will perform a variety of work in the groundskeeping and maintenance at Norristown State Hospital. Your duties will include loading and unloading trucks moving furniture and equipment and assisting the laundry department. In this position you will erect scaffolds climb ladders run cement mixers and use wheelbarrows. You can expect to assist tradesmen and repairmen in completing work orders. Additionally you will perform other types of labor work in various areas within the maintenance department.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Temporary fulltime employment through December.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM Monday Friday with a 30minute lunch.
- Telework:You will not have the option to telework in this position.

QUALIFICATIONS

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will requirea medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including but not limited to PA State Police and FBI clearance.
