Job Description:
The General Laborer will perform construction work/ support as specified as needed. They will perform general manual labor tasks including loading unloading lifting and moving materials. He or she will assist with any combination of duties on construction projects transferring from one task to another as directed and may perform any of the following duties: measuring distances digging earth laying or pulling cable etc. This employee will perform a variety of tasks involving dexterous use of hands and tools.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist the crew leader in construction work
- Complete duties as assigned
- Operate machinery vehicles and other necessary tools
- Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment movement and adjustment of machinery equipment and materials
- Opens trenches restores trenches using hand tools and/ or power equipment.
- Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards
Position Requirements:
To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required.
- Must have a basic command of the English language to understand the safety requirements of the position
- Ability to listen to and implement directions
- Ability to pass motor vehicle drug screen and background check
