Role Definition

  • The role involves reviewing nonstandard transactions to ensure appropriate US GAAP treatment. Additionally you will support both local and enterprise projects in alignment with our strategic business plan.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining records of organizations financial activity in accordance with GAAP organizational standards and in compliance with Section 404 of the SarbanesOxley Act.
  • Reviews nonstandard transactions for appropriate US GAAP accounting prepares accounting memos provides US GAAP training supports local and enterprise objectives
  • Creating reports on financial performance for internal and external use.
  • Completing monthend quarterend and yearend closing activities including but not limited to: related to foreign exchange cash management and tax including preparing the appropriate audit work papers for such activities.
  • Supporting and assisting junior accounting staff in the development of their professional skills.

Degree Requirement

  • Requires a Bachelors degree in Accounting or a bachelors degree in another discipline plus 18 credit hours of Accounting or successful completion of the Certified Public Accounting (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) exam or the international equivalent.
  • A minimum of 4 years of exempt accounting experience is recommended. Must have a broad understanding of accounting and business processes and systems. CPA/CMA is recommended.

  • Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decisionmaking process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
  • Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit receive and accurately interpret ideas information and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
  • Managing Multiple Priorities: Knowledge of effective selfmanagement practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives projects groups or activities making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.
  • Accounting: Knowledge of accounting methods processes and tools; ability to maintain and prepare financial statements and reports using accounting methods and processes.
  • Financial Analysis: Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.
  • Financial Reporting: Knowledge of processes methods and tools of financial reporting; ability to create and maintain accurate and thorough financial reports.

  • Extensive experience with US GAAP:The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding and practical experience with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) ensuring accurate and compliant financial reporting.

  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with a talent for building relationships:We are looking for someone who can effectively communicate complex financial information in a clear and concise manner and who excels at building and maintaining professional relationships.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and a varied workload independently:The successful candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills the ability to juggle multiple tasks and projects and work independently with minimal supervision.
