Job Description
Title:
Security SpecialistKBR is seeking a highly organized and experienced Security Specialist to join our team to support the Armys Search Track Acquire Radiate Eliminate (STARE) Project Office located on Redstone Arsenal AL. Serves as a security specialist supporting a government office in security disciplines including Information Security Industrial Security Physical Security Personnel Security OPSEC and Foreign Disclosure. Position requires attention to detail organizational skills multitasking and the ability to operate in a highpaced team environment. Requires travel Outside of the Continental United States (OCONUS) and within the Continental United States (CONUS) up to 25. Tasks included but are not limited to:
- Develop security plans and procedures for handling safeguarding transmission receipt and generation of classified information.
- Review security clearance determinations for employees or other persons for access to sensitive information resources material or work sites.
- Support a multidiscipline security program to protect classified information located at all government and contractor facilities involved in the program.
- Support detailed security procedures (SOPs OPSEC Plans Treaty Plans etc. to be implemented at all locations involved in the program.
- Continuously evaluate and modify security programs as technology matures and progresses through research and development production and fielding ensuring continuous protection.
- Training others on security plans procedures policies and programs.
Basic Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizen with active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Security or related field.
- 6 years of experience as a Security Specialist performing the duties described in this job description.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite MS Teams and SharePoint.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under tight deadlines.
- Strong problemsolving and decisionmaking skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work outside regular business hours when necessary.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of US Army Security systems and procedures.
- Familiarity with Army OSD and DoD organizations and staff processes.
