Take on a new challenge and apply your supply chain expertise in a new cuttingedge field. Youll report to Sorin Iovu (Cluster Operations Manager ClujNapoca) and work alongside dedicated proactive and valueoriented teammates.
The position is part of the Global Transportation organization based in ClujNapoca (Romania).
The Transportation Improvement Manager supports and facilitates the transformation of Alstom transportation organization in line with the Supply Chain strategy.
Well look to you for:
Drive consistency in process systems & data across Sites:
- Be the global point of contact of sites under your responsibility for Transportation process & strategic questions;
- Support deployment of SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and Transportation Routing guides across Sites;
- Monitor transport plan performance with sites and drive continuous improvement plan;
- Help sites to growth in maturity;
- Support strategic programs projects and network studies for the Transportation organization to achieve AT operational objectives.
Drive continuous improvement and operational performance:
- Prepare and run regular Performance reviews at a global level with Transportation providers;
- Manage quality and claim management (Root cause analysis and corrective actions);
- Drive continuous improvements initiatives and network studies to optimize shipments and reduce carbon emissions;
- Monitor cost performance vs Budget; identify cost drivers analyze deviations and propose action plans;
- Run root cause analysis and corrective actions for any operational or system issues generating manual interventions in the transportation planning system;
- Monitor Transportation providers invoicing process and ontime payment.

- Degree level qualification related to supply chain logistics international transportation business management or associated discipline;
- Fluent in English;
- Relevant experience in similar position (minimum 2 years);
- Validated experiences in logistics 3PL management import and export procedure;
- Good understanding of customs regulations and procedures;
- Leadership initiative and decision minded;
- Team spirit approach and good communication skills;
- Strong Ethics & High Integrity;
- Continual learning & professional development;
- Knowledge of modern principles for efficient transportation management and distribution control;
- SAP knowledge (advantage).
