Are you ready to innovate and shape the future of power equipment manufacturing Join Hitachi Energy as a Mechanical R&D Engineer in our Technology Center group. This dynamic role places you at the heart of global technology development for our distribution transformer business. Youll work in a collaborative office environment with opportunities to travel globally up to 15 based on project needs. How Youll Make an Impact
Analyze and validate structural analytical calculations.
Implement and optimize formulas and algorithms for mechanical structures.
Collaborate in a crossdiscipline team using agile and waterfall methodologies.
Apply best practices and Hitachi Energy standards to develop highquality products.
Participate in status reviews and provide input on potential issues.
Drive innovation by creating proofs of concept for new technologies.
Create and maintain technical standards.
Work with multinational teams and escalate issues as needed.
Your Background
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with 2 years of related experience.
Strong understanding of structural analysis and optimization.
Analytical skills with a proactive approach to problemsolving.
Basic programming experience.
Advantageous knowledge in Visual Basic (Excel macros) Python Creo Simulate ANSYS and Machine Learning.
Proficiency in 3D CAD (Creo Parametric preferred).
Familiarity with modern project management tools and processes (Azure DevOps Agile etc..
Fluent in English both written and spoken.
