Superlanet is looking for an Interim Director of Clinical Applications for a client in the Coachella Valley CA area. This role will be a 36 month contract opportunity. Onsite will be required but this is negotiable. The Director/Manager is Responsible for 35 staff/contractors supporting Epic and other key clinical applications. Reporting to the CIO. The Director of Clinical Information Systems leads teams in the delivery of clinical applications and shared solutions that enable the organization to provide safe and effective patient care and demonstrate value to our business partners. Responsible for directing the clinical application program which includes optimizing the existing environment developing strategic upgrade strategies and leading the lifecycle management activities. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to program management clinical application management special project management partnership development team development and financial oversight.
o Keep active projects progressing in key areas.
o Oversight of key maintenance of business and optimization requests. Assist with capacity planning and expectation management.
o Provide support and management of direct reports. Continue recruitment in key areas.
o Partner with Nursing and Medical Informatics on workflow design and training delivery.
Requirements
- Education
- Required: Bachelors Degree in Information Technology Health Science Business or HS diploma and an additional 4 years of related work experience.
- Preferred: Masters degree in Information Technology Health Science Business or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Licensure/Certification
- Required: None
- Preferred: Current clinical licensures or certification (OT PT SLP RN RPH RT ARRT etc.
- Preferred: Relevant Information Technology certification(s) in Epic Clinical Applications and/or Project Management Certifications.
- Experience
- Epic Application Team oversight Inpatient Applications preferred not required
- Required: 5 years of progressively responsible experience in information technology or 9 years of progressively responsible experience in information technology without a bachelors degree. 3 years serving in a manager role or a functional leadership role and/or have managed other colleagues.
- Preferred: 5 years serving in a director or manager role in IT management or healthcare operational delivery.
Benefits
