Job Description
Overview
Responsibilities
Keeps track of case flow during the day monitors instrument needs and notifies SPD personnel in advance of any possible additional/emergent instrumentation needs.
Communicates to the surgical team all essential instrumentation information that may affect or delay surgery start time.
Returns and restocks all unused sterile instruments to their appropriate location.
Assembles instruments and trays accurately and completely according to the component list and sterilization requirements.
Inspects instruments for defective/broken parts tagging for repair and replacing on tray or set.
Packages individual medical supplies and instruments using the correct or appropriate packing materials.
Performs other duties as assigned.
