Job Description
Terms of Employment: 180 student days (some evenings)
Benefits:This position is eligible for paid sick leave.
Position Criteria :
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Ability to work some evening hours as performances are outside of the school day
- Keyboardist proficient in sightreading choral parts for rehearsals and playingeasy to medium level piano accompaniments.
Performance Criteria:
- Consistently practices in order to play at a high proficiency level during daily rehearsals
- Knowledge of the secondarylevel learner based on current research.
- Accompany (on piano) all of the curricular vocal music ensembles. Accompanying involves playing the vocal parts (open score) and accompaniment parts for rehearsals both during the day and at performances outside the school day.
- Record accompaniments into specified format as needed.
- Assist with music library.
- Periodic work with sectionals during a regular rehearsal.
- Ability to collaborate with others.
