We Require
One year of clinical mental health experience
Masters degree in social work counseling psychology or a related field from an accredited program
A valid unrestricted license issued by the Arizona State Board of Behavioral Health Examiners as a:
Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) OR
Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) OR
Licensed Associate Substance Abuse Counselor (LASAC)/ Licensed Associate Addiction Counselor (LAAC) OR
Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (LAMFT)

Behavioral health experience in a correctional health setting
Bilingual skills in English and Spanish
Job Contributions
Complete biopsychosocial assessments suicide risk assessments and other clinical forms as required under the supervision of an independently licensed mental health professional
Provide individual and group psychoeducation and crisis intervention services under the supervision of an independently licensed mental health professional
Coordinate with the multidisciplinary team regarding patient care
Develop and coordinate patient discharge/reentry plans
Obtain relevant treatment records and coordinate care with family members community providers and others relevant to the patients care and community reentry plan
Maintain and update a list of community resources to support the patients transition and reentry back to the community including civil commitment procedures RBHA services and criminal justice processes
Working Conditions
Must complete a CPR certification during new hire orientation
Must complete an MCSOHR fingerprint background check
Must be able to work inside a jail environment consisting of working in close proximity to inmates and other staff and being indoors in a confined area handling multiple or complicated tasks
Requires accuracy decisionmaking and concentration skills to be vigilant in a teamwork environment
Performs a high volume of work under short deadlines or with time pressures to complete frequently changing and unscheduled tasks
