Job Description

Southeastern Louisiana Universitys Center for Faculty Excellence invites applications for the position of Instructional Design Specialist. The Instructional Design Specialist will work with Southeastern Online to assist faculty with course planning development and delivery. The Instructional Design Specialist will also assist faculty with the Universitys course alignment process by developing and delivering facetoface and online faculty training courses workshops and seminars.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Masters degree in Instructional Design Instructional/Educational Technology or job related field from
an accredited university.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience working as an educational/instructional designer/creator at the college level.
Teaching experience
Experience creating graduate and undergraduate online courses
Experience as an online course facilitator/trainer at the college level
Experience collaborating with college faculty in developing online curriculums and webbased courses
Quality Matters Certification
DESIRED KNOWLEDGE ABILITIES AND SKILLS
Strong ability to work independently and as a team member
Knowledge of online accessibility issues
Working knowledge of Moodle
Excellent editing writing and communication skills
Knowledge of pedagogy learning theories and instructional design models
Superior time management skills
Knowledge of adult learning styles
