Job Description

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Bachelors degree from a recognized accredited college or university
  2. Two 2 years experience in Human Resources or Leave/Disability environment
  3. Knowledge of administration of leave programs and applicable laws (Federal State Local);
  4. Proficient in the use of software to develop spreadsheets databases and perform word processing;
  5. Strong understanding of FMLA ADA USERRA and other relevant employment laws.
  6. Demonstrated ability to work with a wide range of individuals and complex issues;
  7. Demonstrated personal integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality;
  8. Strong oral and written communication public relations and interpersonal skills.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Annual Contract: 250 days


SALARY:
$59028 (BA3
Salary Range (based on experience) as set by the Board of Trustees for the school year


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Lead Human Resource Leave Specialist(s) in processing leave and supporting employees through the leave process.
  2. Serves as the final authority on complex and sensitive leave of absence cases using sound judgment thorough knowledge of applicable laws and policies and a high level of discretion to make final determinations on behalf of the leave team
  3. Maintain leave software including but not limited to updating calendars updating communications integration and support needs.
  4. Provide training related to legal and procedural aspects for all types of available leave (Federal State and Local).
  5. Supervise and monitor the leave team ensuring accuracy following the leave process and associated documentation.
  6. Initiate and/or respond to incoming and outbound calls emails and system notifications of leave requests and information requests.
  7. Respond to employee leave requests and concerns and provide clarification and support using effective customer service
  8. Track all cases reported statuses and return to work dates and be able to report statistical data as needed.
  9. Ensure data integrity of information pushed from leave software to eFinance system.
  10. Communicate with Ancillary HR departments as needed.
  11. Support and coordinate with HR Directors regarding medical leave policy and employee leaves.
  12. Collaborate with payroll and benefits teams to ensure accurate and timely processing of leave banks leaverelated payroll and benefits adjustments.
  13. Develop and maintain leaverelated policies procedures and documentation.
  14. Serve as the liaison between Human Resources and Health Services teams when applicable.
  15. Consult coordinate and partner with vendors and crossfunctional teams and systems as appropriate.
  16. Escalate issues to the proper management resource as appropriate.
  17. All other duties as assigned by the director of human resources.
  18. Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function.

Environment: Frequent districtwide travel; occasional outofdistrict travel may be required
Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress
