Job Description

Overview

The Media Service Technology Coordinator oversees audiovisual and multimedia services and resources for the Institute and supports successful of conferences trainings and other events occurring at assigned conference room locations studio and onlocation filming. The incumbent is responsible for delivering consistently exceptional customer service and highquality multimedia services to Institute faculty and staff as well as external partners who may be utilizing Institute event spaces. This position requires occasional evening or weekend work to support.

Responsibilities

1. Consult with senior level staff on production plans and multimedia equipment needs for special projects events and other related services.
2. Use standard communication practices and theories including scripting preproduction production postproduction and distribution.
3. Advise faculty and staff on design/production plans audiovisual content hardware and software requirements and editing and postproduction services.
4. Provide technology support for conferences trainings and other special events. Ensure proper setup and operation of equipment and technology answer questions or concerns about operation and breakdown equipment as appropriate.
5. Produce and edit video for internal/external broadcasts training purposes and presentations. Post edited videos to departmental sites.
6. Develop and edit computer images including PowerPoint presentations and highresolution digital images and graphics for postproduction multimedia needs.
7. Ensure operational efficiency maintenance and upgrading of digital video workstation including monitors speakers editing software and other related hardware or software.
8. Evaluate and maintain equipment and technologies utilized in conference rooms and studio. Inform supervisor of equipment nearing end of service life and in need of replacement.
9. Collaborate with department leadership to create technical standards and best practices for using technology and equipment for conferences trainings and events.
10. Photograph applicable activities for the Institute using traditional and digital equipment.
11. Participate in various Kennedy Krieger Institute committees and meetings regarding mediaservice elearning telehealth or other related technologies as directed.
12. Coordinate the distribution of the media equipment loan service coordinating and performing requests for technical audiovisual equipment setups and training sessions maintaining working order of equipment inspecting returned equipment for missing parts or misuse and contacting repair services when necessary.
13. Support purchase maintenance setup and breakdown of AXIS cameras for PACT as needed.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:
Associates degree in MultiMedia Technology Communications Computer Science Visual Arts or related field required.
Bachelor Degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE:
Minimum three years of professional experience in video and multimedia production environment gathering requirements from end users and delivering excellent customer service required.

Minimum pay range

USD $56157.50/Yr.

Maximum pay range

USD $97597.76/Yr.
