Description
The Harker School seeks a Lacrosse Coach for the Middle School Athletic Program. The season begins late August and runs through mid October 2025. Hours are Tuesday Wednesday and Friday 3:00 pm 5:30 pm.
Expected Hourly Rate: $17.95 $25.00
Position Summary
Coordinate and direct team and provide direction to studentathletes so they might achieve a high level of skill and an appreciation for discipline sportsmanship and teamwork in their chosen sport.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age.
- Experience working with children preferred. Must be comfortable working with and around schoolage children.
- First Aide/CPR certified
- 1 2 years coaching experience (preferred)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assumes the responsibility for effectively managing groups of students
- Maintains accurate attendance
- Organizes practice plans and game plans
- Communicates effectively with AD other staff students and parents
- Stays informed regarding weekly sports emails updated developments and changes
- Completes miscellaneous tasks and duties as requested
Other Duties and Responsibilities
- Attends coachs meetings and mandatory seasonal parent meetings
- Ensures students are participating in a fair and sportsmanlike manner
- Ensures the safety and decorum of students while traveling to away games
- Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned
Knowledge Skill & Ability Requirements
- Coaching students (Ages 9 to 13
- Experience in or having a background in the sport interested in coaching
Working Conditions
- It may be subject to extended periods of standing or walking.
- The majority of time may be spent outside resulting in exposure to extremes in either heat or cold as weather and temperatures vary.
