Job Description
Supreme Steel is looking for a Project Controls who knows steel to join our field team at the Aspen Power Station project site near Guernsey SK. This full time temporary for up to six months position will have requirements both on site as well as in the Saskatoon office and has the potential of becoming permanent.
This position will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
- Scheduling project resources for the construction job site
- Daily communication with Project Managers and other functional managers
- Maintaining Primavera P6 scheduling software based on inputs from the Project Team
- Analyzing the schedule status for site management
- Construction progressing and reporting
- Quantity surveying
- Assisting with change management
- Steel Construction estimating skills
The successful candidate will also possess the following attributes:
- Must know steel; experience with structural steel fabrication and or erection projects preferred
- Candidates who have completed a Construction Management or Project Management program would be considered an asset
- Has or is willing to work towards PMP Designation
- Strong mathematical and planning skills
- Solves problems and contributes new ideas that improve quality and efficiency
- Demonstrates effective time management skills
- Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
- Experience with CPM scheduling and weighted value progress systems
- Experience with Primavera P6 scheduling
- Strong Microsoft software Excel skills and experience with other Microsoft Office programs
