- Realization of potential savings through the optimization of the supply chain and the associated customs burden
- Preparing and submitting customs declarations and other required documentation
- Communicating with government agencies to resolve customsrelated issues
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation of all customs transactions
- Working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with customs regulations and the commerce control list
- Classifying and valuing imported goods in accordance with customs regulations and staying uptodate on changes in customs regulations and procedures
- Certification as a Customs Specialist (e.g. Certified Customs Specialist or Customs Broker License)
- Experience with trade agreements (e.g. Free Trade Agreements USMCA etc.
- Knowledge of import/export regulations procedures and documentation requirements
- A degree or certification in logistics supply chain management international trade or a related field
- 5 years of experience in customs clearance and compliance
- Strong knowledge of customs regulations and trade compliance procedures
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP software (Oracle)
- Competence to explain complex regulations in simple clear language while maintaining a customerfirst approach.
