Job Description
To promote Omni Amelia Island Resorts unique natural environment to our resort guests club members and the surrounding community.
Responsibilities
- To assist in conducting various nature tours and programs both off property and day excursions.
- Planning and conducting nature crafts and activities implementing new interpretive and new educational programs.
- To assist in the care and cleaning of exhibits and program animals.
- Ensure the nature center is kept clean and inviting to guests.
- Knowledge of flora and fauna of a coastal marine environment.
- To assist naturalists in animal rescues as well as transporting to rehab facilities.
- Responsible for the cleanliness and upkeep of the nature center back deck and kayak storage area.
- Responsible for the care and upkeep of equipment (binoculars fishing poles water quality testing equipment kayaks etc).
Qualifications
- Able to lift and lift up to 60100 pounds occasionally and 3050 pounds repeatedly.
- Able to swim stoop stand push pull and walk or stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to hear smell have good or corrected vision and a good sense of balance.
- Associate must be able to walk throughout property communicate verbally to our guests and able to multi task effectively.
