Position Description:
This is an exciting time for CGI and we want you to be part of it.
We are Canadas largest independent information technology services firm and we are still growing! We are expanding in Atlantic Canada and we need your skills enthusiasm and dedication as part of our team.
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Steward to join our dynamic team. In this role you will be responsible for Promoting Data Governance Standards.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
oPromoting Data Governance Standards: Advocate and socialize global data governance standards and the global data model across teams.
oConsumer Support: Understand the data asset architecture and guide consumers on locating and accessing highquality data.
oCollaboration with Stakeholders: Partner with business stakeholders and master data management specialists to define data management and consolidation rules.
oETL Expertise: Map data flows to and from the asset acting as an expert in Extraction Transformation and Load (ETL) processes across diverse data sources and consumers.
oData Access and Auditing: Provision access to global datasets within the asset and perform periodic audits to refine permissions based on evolving business requirements.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
oExperience in Data Governance.
oStrong understanding of data asset architecture.
oExpertise in using ETL tools
oProgramming and Querying skills: SQL (Expert) and Python (Intermediate)
oLocation: Halifax Nova Scotia Canada (Hybrid 2 days required in office per week; Alternate Locations: Moncton or Fredericton NB Stratford PE or St. Johns NL)
