Job Description

Position TitleWellness Training CoordinatorAbout the University

About the PositionUnder the direction and supervision of the Director of the Assistant Director of Outreach & Health Promotion this position serves as the primary coordinator of research program evaluation and digital training. This position is responsible for performing outcome analyses for clinical services evaluating outreach and health promotion programming and maintaining accurate data on Health Promotion & Resilience operations. This position also facilitates all activities and functions necessary to plan implement and evaluate the webbased sexual violence awareness and prevention training required for all new matriculated students to Western and designated groups of ongoing students. This position independently advises all students training participants staff faculty parents and the public regarding training content policies procedures and the requirement.

This position upholds the universitys mission of treating all community members with respect and dignity as well as pursuing justice and equity in their practices.

Required Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Demonstrated commitment to supporting a workplace culture in which diversity is honored respected and celebrated.
  • Ability to identify and collaborate to remove inequities barriers to access and forms of oppression in programming or services related to this position.
  • Excellent interpersonal oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively within a team and independently.
  • Strong customer service skills including the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
  • High level of accuracy thoroughness and attention to detail.
  • Ability to determine priorities be selfdirected.
  • Proven ability to work well under pressure on multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of personal information.
  • Competency with Word/PowerPoint/Excel in MS Office
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree with a minimum of two years of related experience in universityrelated public or behavioral health.
  • Experience delivering services to individuals and communities with marginalized identities such as Latine and Black students disabled students and LGBTQ individuals.
  • Commitment to advancing access diversity equity and inclusion efforts in higher education or the workplace.
  • Two years of related program evaluation or research work experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the ACHA Standards of Practice for Health Promotion in Higher Education (SPHPHE).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the CAS Professional Standards for Higher Education: Health Promotion Services.
  • Ability to conceptualize health promotion in the context of higher education.
  • Experience in public health or behavioral health program and service design.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of evidenceinformed health promotion programs and initiatives.
  • Proven leadership and problemsolving skills in analyzing health promotion needs of emerging adults especially college students.
  • Experience in health promotion work within a higher education environment.
  • Experience working in a university setting.
  • Experience working in a multidisciplinary setting.
  • Experience writing and managing local state or federal grants.
  • Competency using Qualtrics or other assessment software.
