Software Engineer Expert

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a highimpact modernization effort leveraging cuttingedge technologies and cloud platforms to build and enhance secure scalable systems.

Position Overview

As an expert software engineer you will be part of a talented development team supporting a dynamic customer environment. Youll play a key role in designing building and optimizing systems that are vital to national missions. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise particularly with Python and Angular and be comfortable working across both clientside and serverside web frameworks. This role also demands a strong foundation in cloud infrastructure particularly AWS as well as experience with continuous integration and delivery pipelines.

You will collaborate closely with team members and mission partners to refine and implement system features ensuring highquality and secure code is deployed to meet rapidly evolving requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design develop and maintain advanced software systems using Python and Angular.
• Work across client and serverside web frameworks to support fullstack development.
• Leverage cloud infrastructure and services (primarily AWS) for scalable resilient solutions.
• Collaborate with mission partners and internal teams to refine system features and architecture.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Git Jenkins and Nexus.
• Optimize and debug systems to ensure peak performance and stability.
• Support testing efforts including unit and integration testing.
• Work with both relational and nonrelational databases and manage data pipelines.
• Utilize infrastructure as code tools like Terraform and CloudFormation for system provisioning.
• Integrate analytics tools and support data engineering initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Masters degree in Computer Science Information Systems Engineering or related technical discipline
  (or 2 additional years of specialized experience with a Bachelors degree; 6 years of additional experience in lieu of a degree)
• Strong handson experience with Python and Angular
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Git Jenkins Puppet and Nexus
• Excellent debugging and performance optimization skills
• Experience in unit/integration testing
• Strong knowledge of AWS services including EC2 CloudFormation Terraform Lambda AutoScaling CloudWatch DynamoDB and S3
• Handson experience with Elasticsearch
• Familiarity with both relational and nonrelational databases
• Experience working with data engineering or analytics tools

Desired Qualifications

• Prior experience working in an Agile team environment
• Outstanding communication and collaboration skills
