Job Summary

Working under the direction of PI the research assistant is responsible for the organization coordination and conduct on a daily basis of technical activities related to orthopedic research.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
investigators with primary cell culture experiments.
data notebooks.
reports on data as instructed.
ordering and stocking of needed supplies.
with the maintenance of a clean orderly and safe laboratory.
other related duties as assigned.



Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors degree required.

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities a must. The applicant should have a strong academic record must be creative selfdriven reliable and motivated to learn. The position offers the opportunity for education and handson learning in orthopedic research.

Prior training in bench methods is preferred.

Ability to communicate with multiple levels of staff and to work effectively with others in a team environment.

Small animal can be handled after institutional training.

Competency with MS Excel MS Word and MS PowerPoint is required.

SKILLS/ ABILITIES/ COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:

  • Success in being trained in needed laboratory skills
  • Some math and statistics skills required
  • Ability to use independent judgment and to request help when needed
  • Organizational skills
  • Attention to detail

  • Proficiency with routine office software
